Ok shit head.... My other kid is getting baptized today. I found a pretty good image rotator for you home page, I just need to figure out how you will update it. I'm going to have to keep working on this a little more. I'll get it finished for next week or something. The portfolio design I'm working on is supposed to be clean and slick, and show off my technical skills. It will be a tell and show. I want people to look at it and say, "Wow, this guy has some really good experience, and obviously he's a tech wizard, just look at his site." I want your help mostly on presentation and ideas. I want the design primarily driven by me, but I need help in Art Direction, Color, Layout, Typesetting and usability. Mostly I want you to help guide me, so don't try to design it, just correct me when I'm wrong, and give suggestions with quick and dirty examples. For instance ( the navigation bar in the header... maybe the header altogether.... is wrong ) Think of your role as the overseer, and me as the primary designer. You're the expert, I'm the novice, but when this is finished, it should look like it was designed by an expert. I should learn a great deal. It's important that everything is user friendly. No UI suprizes. But I also want it to be fresh. I was thinking how this could incorporate 3D. A 3D presentation would be great. I want this to have a very interactive feel and be very graphical. Rollovers should be very interesting and responsive, and results should give big payoffs. i.e., clicking a button creates a fast and interesting animation somewhere. However, I want to restrain myself and give balance. Everything should feel simple (easy to get where you want) but seem like a complex machine. We should be able to navigate with both the mouse and keyboard. I was thinking about adding some Camera tricks as well. Maybe some AR Easter eggs. Those chips (thumbnails) should do something interesting... maybe 3D space will help with that. Also, the main images ( for each portfolio entry ) can have images or video. That's it... maybe you could help me with the wireframe, as it is now.... just suggest areas of weakness, and maybe a color scheme. I have blue on my current site, and I like that scheme, but I wonder if should explore some other options. Maybe silver, or something. Anyway, that's what I am doing with this right now. Just mostly need feed back as I go through this. Maybe tell me some of the areas that need help on the current site too... and what you think should stay.
